Field Guide to the Moths of Great Britain and Ireland (3rd edition)

This third edition of the Field Guide to the Moths of Great Britain and Ireland comes eight years after the second edition bringing it in line with the latest changes in taxonomy. The UK has finally caught up with Europe on name changes particularly after the publication of the checklist of Lepidoptera (Agassiz et al, 2013) and the corrections and amendments to this checklist published in 2016. New descriptions and illustrations in this edition have been included for moths that have been newly recorded and it also includes indicative maps and distribution notes for post 2000 moth records. The 805 up-to-date distribution maps give a clear outline of ranges for resident species, but these do not give precise information because of their size and should only be used as a guide.
