1.The North Tyneside Railway's 03078 spent the second half of February at West Coast's Carnforth depot in order to undergo tyre turning. It arrived by road on February 17 and returning home on March 1. 2.D3935, the Class 08 at Weybourne on the North Norfolk Railway, has been one of the busier locos during the numerous lockdowns over the last 12 months. It has been used to perform many of the essential maintenance tasks and support work that has been ongoing behind closed doors. On February 25 it had a run out to Sheringham, returning a single carriage that has received repair work, and it came back with two more coaches to be worked on. The trip was also combined with a significant shunt at Sheringham to move various coaches into new positions so that examinations can continue to ensure the railway is safe and equipped for its reopening later this year. 3.Another 'gronk' in use for essential maintenance trains' support was the East Lancs' Class 09 09024, which was out and about on the line on February 24 working engineering trains.
