Final curtain for regular Wolsztyn steam

THIS YEAR marks the final season of The Wolsztyn Experience (in Poland), which offers the world's only opportunity to drive a genuine main line steam train, on the world's last steam-hauled commuter service. Having run footplate courses for 18 years, The Wolsztyn Experience Society has been hit by the twin challenges of reduced funding for the scheme from the regional mayor, and a large number of existing steam drivers retiring.
