摘要

Windhoff MPV powered high-output overhead line renewal trains are a common sight along the West Coast Main Line. Route modernisation includes upgrades to the overhead power supply, with autotransformers between Wembley and Carstairs, plus renewal of the contact wire on the fast lines. The work is being carried out by the Rugby-based OLE and Distribution Alliance. Network Rail owns Windhoff MPVsDR 98001-014 ,which power three piling trains and two re-wiring trains.
