Ivatt theme for Severn Valley gala

The Severn Valley Railway (SVR) held its Autumn Steam Gala from September 25-27, with another spectacular line up of locomotives.rnThe event was headlined by the railway's own Ivatt '4MT 43106 making its first gala appearance following overhaul.rnIt was accompanied by resident '2MT' 46443 and Keighley-based '2MT 41241. The three were used both singly and to double head trains together, creating a distinctive Ivatt theme.rnOther visiting locomotives appearing were Loughborough-rnbased Gresley 'N2' 1744, GWR 4936 Kinlet Hall from Tyseley, and the Furness Railway Trust's GWR 5643.rnFreight trains featured again, being hauled by ex-Port Talbot Railway 813, making its last gala appearance before overhaul. The freight train comprised vehicles owned by the 813 fund.
