Diesels help out on Santa Specials

Whilst on paper December looked a quiet month for diesel operation, quite a few locos were in action on Santa steam specials topping-and-tailing with steam locomotives.rnAt the Mid-Norfolk Railway it was diesels only as 31438 and 47580 County of Essex top-and-tailed the six coach trains. The Weardale Railway was also 'steam-free' as 31452 Minotaur was put into service topping and tailing with 73139 - the latter in grey undercoat pending a repaint after bodywork repairs.
