Good weather and a healthy mix of locos saw crowds enjoy the North Yorkshire Moors Railway's September 14-16 diesel gala despite some loco failures and operating problems.Guest locos were 31108 and 37275 from Barrow Hill which were brought to Grosmont by 47798 Prince William (as far as Battersby), with Nemesis Rail's 31128 Charybdis working forward. The 31 was returning to the NYMR after repairs at Burton.55022 Royal Scots Grey was also at the NYMR and this too starred along with residents D5061, D7628 Sybilla and 37264. The Class 25, however, only worked one train, the 1530 Grosmont-Pickering on the Friday and it failed at Levisham.
