Hitachi ERTMS for WCR 37s

Hitachi says its ERTMS system, as opposed to Ansaldo equipment, will be fitted to West Coast Railways' 37668/669 and has said that its system fitted to 97301 is working fine. The company approached Network Rail to fit ERTMS to 97301, a different operating system to the Ansaldo system fitted to 97302-304. Hitachi says its ERTMS has been fully signed off and there is "no issue with it whatsoever" despite an apparent preference to use the three Ansaldo locos on trains that head along the Cambrian line.
