First two LM 350/3s arrive

London Midland has received the first of its new Class 350 EMUs from builders Siemens of Germany. The first pair, 350368/369, arrived in the country via the Channel Tunnel and were towed from Dollands Moor to King's Heath depot at Northampton by 92044 Couperin, arriving on April 1. Following delivery they undertook coupling tests with existing Class 350s before being used for main line testing. Ten four-car AC-only units are being delivered to provide additional capacity on services around Birmingham. They will be numbered 350368-377 and will be capable of 110mph running if required.
