Isambard kingdom Brunei was the world's greatest engineer and considered a genius in his time - an accolade that remains accurate to this day. His list of achievements is quite breathtaking: The Thames Tunnel, the first underwater tunnel in the world on which he worked tirelessly with his father Marc Brunei; the SS Great Britain, the first propeller-driven ship; the Clifton Suspension Bridge, at the time the longest span of any bridge in the world; and, most famously, the Great Western Railway.
