Hougen Manufacturing, Inc., has introduced its Trak-Star Hydraulic Rail Saw, model HS16 that has been designed to maximize operator comfort, safety and ergonomics. The new saw is designed for one-man operation and has several features, that when combined, result in less operator fatigue and straight, fast cuts. Its 43-1/2-inch frame length gives the operator increased comfort when making a cut and allows making them with less effort when compared to other hydraulic saws. It also features vibration reducing ergonomic handle grips for increased comfort and hose guards for safety. The rail saw weighs 41 pounds (61 pounds with clamp) with dimensions of 43-1/2 inches in length, 17 inches in height and nine inches wide.
