Deutsche Bahn needs to raise its game, according to German Transport Minister Dr Peter Ramsauer. Marking the confirmation of Dr Utz-Hellmuth Felcht as the new Chairman of the DB AG supervisory board on March 24, he said the board's remit must be to improve performance, and ensure that the railway becomes 'more punctual, faster, and more reliable'. Ramsauer wants DB to concentrate on the home market as its first priority, whilst accepting that the railway should seize any international opportunities opened up by European liberalisation.
