Bombardier launches Flexity 2

Bombardier Transportation launched the first of its Flexity 2 trams in the UK seaside town of Blackpool on September 9. It is the first of 16 ordered by Blackpool Council in 2009 as part of what Lancashire County Council's Director of Transport & Strategic Highways, Mike Kirby, describes as a £100m 'rebirth' of the towns 125-year old tramway.
