Olympic projects taking shape

Delegates attending the 1520 Forum were given the opportunity to visit the rail and road links that RZD is constructing around Sochi to serve the venues for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. A 2·8 km single-track branch from Adler to Sochi Airport opened earlier this year. This is currently served by five trains per day each way, operat-ed by Aeroexpress using a dedicated fleet of Demikhovo-built Class ED4M EMUs.
