China's National Railway Administration has released English translations for several of the Chinese railway standards that provide technical guidance for railway development projects, updating previous versions issued by the former Ministry of Railways. For example, TB 10760-2013 and 10761-2013 respectively provide the technical codes for static and dynamic acceptance of high-speed railway projects, and are are designed primarily for use by senior decision-makers as well as those with overall responsibility for approval and safety. All of China's high speed railway standards draw on both domestic experience and international best practice, and the Chinese versions are legally binding for domestic railway development. These translations are intended to inform the development of national standards in countries developing their own high speed networks, particularly where China may be providing technical and other assistance.
