Reconstructing the Doric Arch at Euston would cost more than £50 million and include challenges relating to the recovery of original construction materials, says HS2 Minister Andrew Stephenson. In a Commons Written Reply on October 16 to Michael Fabricant (Conservative, Lichfield), about reconstructing the Arch as part of the Euston redevelopment, Stephenson said: "In the Masterplan for Euston station, our development partner, Lendlease, is considering how the history of the station at Euston should influence and best be reflected in the future designs."
