North Yorks awarded £4.4 million heritage grant

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway has been awarded a £4.4 million grant from the National Lottery's Heritage Lottery Fund for its 'Yorkshire's Magnificent Journey' project. The £9.7m project aims to safeguard the railway's long-term future, and has received a £1.7m grant from the Rural Payments Agency as well as contributions from local organisations and private donors.
