Rebuilt Halton Curve carries its first passenger trains

Passenger trains returned to the 1.5-mile Halton Curve in Merseyside for the first time in 44 years on May 20. Transport for Wales' 0759 Wrexham-Liverpool Lime Street, formed of 158826, was the first train to use the reopened line. Trains will run seven days a week, with two trains per day from Wrexham to Liverpool, and one return. It is planned that more will be introduced, running to Cardiff via Shrewsbury, and to Llandudno.
