Swiss time - and the associated punctuality of the country's railway system - is legendary. For many years the landlocked country's rail network has been held up as an example of all that is good about public transport; its reliability is famous the world over. Despite the challenges laid down by the Alpine scenery - and the huge seasonal variations in Swiss weather - the country's rail system remains utterly reliable.
