The business to get Scotland's transport networks ready for 2014 has been a mammoth task, particularly given that much of the summer's Commonwealth Games will take place in what was one of the country's most rundown communities. If there's one infrastructure project that epitomises what will be a lasting legacy from the Games, it's the award-winning revitalisation of Dalmarnock station. Positioned in the east end of Glasgow, the station first opened to the public on November 1st 1895 and sits on the doorstep of a number of the Games venues - Celtic Park, the Athletes Village, the National Indoor Sports Arena and the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome are all just a short walk away.
