Ricardo to acquire Lloyd's Register Rail and form an international rail business

Engineering and consultancy group Ricardo has signed a £42.5 million cash agreement to acquire the business, operating assets and employees of Lloyd's Register Rail, the rail consultancy and assurance business, from Lloyd's Register Group.rnThe deal is expected to complete on or before 1 July when the business will operate as the core of a new international rail business within Ricardo, to be branded Ricardo Rail.
