Rail takes the honours in Queen's June Birthday Honours List

Karen Boswell receives OBE Managing director of Hitachi Rail Europe (HRE), Karen Boswell, has been appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE). The award is in recognition of Boswell's contribution and services to the UK rail industry during her five-and-a-half years as managing director of the East Coast Main Line Company. From 2009, she led the transformation of East Coast to enhance the value of the business in preparation for its return to the private sector in March 2015.
