Tunnelling work for Crossrail should be completed by 2016,and August 2017 is the programmed date for trial running on the first section of the new cross-London route.It will be 2018 before the full network connecting Maidenhead and Heathrow Airport with Shenfield and Abbey Wood will be carrying passengers.
