Overground deep clean completed

Transport for London announced on August 19 that it had completed the second phase of a programme to upgrade 34 stations inherited from Silverlink Metro. London Overground now manages stations on the Euston - Watford DC line, the North London Line from Richmond to Stratford and Gospel Oak - Barking, as well as Kensington Olympia on the West London Line. The first phase involved installing Oyster readers and providing additional staffing, and was completed soon after TfL took over in November 2007. The second phase has covered deep cleaning of platforms, ticket halls and waiting areas, as well as repainting and graffiti removal.
