ITTs for main line ETCS in 2011

ITTs for the first two major applications of ETCS in the UK are expected to be issued by Network Rail in the first half of 2011. These will cover track-mounted equipment.rnOn Great Western, ETCS will be overlaid on the existing signalling, including the retention of the BR Automatic Train Protection equipment which will require life-extension. The work will be undertaken in two phases, Paddington - Oxford and Didcot - Bristol.
