RAlB's preliminary investigation into the derailment of 2H75, the 17.15 Inverness - Ardgay service, on entering the loop at Dingwall station on January 22 2010 concludes that the points had not returned automatically to the correct position.rnAlthough the driver of a train to Inverness had reported to the signaller at 17.03 that the points were not in the correct position before he trailed through them, the signaller neither logged this as a fault nor warned the driver of 2H75 of the need to stop and check them, according to RAlB's bulletin.
