Strong Q3 for Eurotunnel

Results for Quarter 3 to September 30 2011 released by Eurotunnel on October 19 show that revenue grew by 10% on the year before. Over the first nine months of 2011 the increase was even greater at 16%. However, this reflects a 7O% increase in revenue from €65-8m to €111-8m at Eurotunnel's rail freight subsidiary Europorte which includes GB Railfreight. In the nine months to September 30, revenue from Eurotunnel's core business of operating the Channel Tunnel was up 9% on the year before at €516m, with the Q3/Q3 increase being 7% to reach €192-2m.
