Depite prominent advertising, Crosscountry is cutting back on the number of discounted Advance tickets that it offers for sale in an attempt to reduce overcrowding. Staff have been informed via the TOC intranet of a standardised policy that will see 'no cheap Advance fares anywhere on our network' from the start of service until 09.30, Monday to Thursday. The same restriction applies after 12.00 on Friday and all day on Sunday. On Saturday, Advance availability will be managed according to demand for individual trains.
