More seats at c2c

The completion of a 'refresh' programme on its 74-strong fleet of Class 357 EMUs has enabled c2c to offer almost 6 000 additional seats every weekday from the May 22 timetable change. The TOC is now able to diagram two additional four-car sets every weekday, meaning that 21 more services will be formed of eight cars. These services had been reduced to four cars whilst the work was undertaken. In response to customer feedback, 14 of the longer trains operate via Grays where the need for additional capacity is greatest.
