Mational Rail Trends freight data for Quarter 3 of 2011-12 (October 1 to December 31 2011) published by ORR confirms that the recovery from the recession is now firmly established, although there is still some way to go before the 21-88 billion tonne-km moved in 2006-07 is exceeded.
