Siemens has awarded Nomad Digital a contract to supply onboard passenger wi-fi systems for the 10 e320 high-speed trainsets being built for Eurostar. Nomad says that this will feature 'a seamless switchover at international borders to offer a reliable, high-quality wi-fi service'. Hitachi Rail Europe has signed a contract for GB Railfreight to undertake test train operations for the Great Western Class 800 and 801 trainsets being supplied under the Intercity Express Programme. This will include haulage of transit movements and the provision of train crew throughout the testing programme, due to start in March 2015.
