Reporting results for Quarter 1 of 2013, Eurostar International Ltd announced on April 18 that revenue had increased by 1% to £213m compared with £211m in the equivalent period last year. However, the number of passengers carried in Q1 2013 was 1% down, having declined from 2.24 million in Q1 2012 to 2.23 million this year. Nevertheless, Chief Executive Nicolas Petrovic described Q1 as 'an encouraging start to the year in spite of challenges posed by both the economy and the weather.
