Access for All gets £100m in CP5

Transport Minister Baroness Kramer has announced that the government is to provide £100m for DfT's Access for All programme in CP5. Accessibility improvements including new ramps, footbridges, lifts and tactile paving are to be completed at 42 stations (below) by 2019. 'These improvements will make a real difference to the lives of disabled passengers and those with limited mobility, allowing them to get to work and pursue leisure activities more easily', said Kramer. "That's good news for them and good news for the economy'.
