Citing 'rising costs', London Midland announced on March 26 a restructuring plan which would cut 150 posts, focusing on 'head office and support staff. 'The service to our passengers will not be affected', said London Midland Managing Director Patrick Verwer. 'Our proposal has been designed to increase efficiency and reduce our costs while continuing to improve trains and station services'.
