Under the Crossrail surface works programme, Network Rail has awarded Signalling Solutions Ltd a contract to design, install and commission resignalling on the Great Eastern Main Line between Pudding Mill Lane and Shenfield. With preliminary work already underway, completion is scheduled for 'late August 2018'. SSL Managing Director Steve McLaren said that the joint venture of Alstom and Balfour Beatty was 'naturally delighted' to be continuing its long-term rela- tionship with NR and providing further support to the Crossrail programme, following its work on the West Inner project. 'Our dedicated Crossrail Anglia project management team look forward to executing this project using Alstom's high-performance Smart-lock interlocking technology', he added.
