East West Rail spending brought forward

Within the government's new £23bn National Productivity Investment Fund, £110m has been allocated to the East West Rail project (p1). Of this, £100m has been brought forward into Control Period 5 from CP6 (2019-24). This is to enable construction of part of the western section of East West Rail ahead of High Speed 2 in the Calvert area.
