NR review update

In answers given in the House of Commons on May 10 to written questions from Shadow Transport Secretary Lilian Greenwood, Transport Minister Claire Perry reported on progress with reviews of Network Rail spending following the publication of Sir Peter Hendy's report on the CP5 enhancements programme. Greenwood's first question referred to the delay in publication of NR's updated CP5 Delivery Plan, due originally in March. According to Perry, NR has completed the internal review of its plans for operations, maintenance and renewals. However, publication is dependent on agreement from DfT to any 'material differences'. This, in turn, is dependent on ORR's assessment of the impact on NR targets for train performance at Route level.
