Ansaldo STS wins Gilberdyke resignalling

Ansaldo STS announced on February 10 that it had been awarded a £34.5m contract by Network Rail to resignal the Ferriby - Gilberdyke section of the Selby - Hull route. The contract has been awarded to a consortium that includes Lin-brooke Services Ltd. As consortium leader, Ansaldo STS will be responsible for the design and supply of the signalling system, featuring its Sel computer-based interlocking and axle-counters. This portion of the contract is valued at £15.5m. Linbrooke will be responsible for signalling and power construction works, telecommunications system design and construction, and will be the overall UK Tester in Charge. This work is valued at £19.35m.
