Kenilworth deferred

Warwickshire County Council and DfT are locked in a war of words over who is to blame for the delay to opening the new station at Kenilworth, which should have welcomed its first trains with the timetable change on December 10. Services are now unlikely to begin serving Kenilworth before February 2018, while the cost of the project has risen to £13.6m from the estimate of £11.3m quoted when work had started in 2015.
