Battersea tunnelling completed

TfL announced on November 8 that 'a major milestone' had been reached in the construction of the Northern Line extension to Battersea Power Station, with the completion of tunnelling work for the project. With the second of the two TBMs deployed by construction contractor Ferrovial Agroman Laing O'Rourke breaking through at Kennington, two 3•2 km tunnels have now been completed to connect Battersea with the Charing Cross branch of LU's Northern Line.
