ORR announced on November 10 that it had concluded a review of the processes in place at Southern for providing assistance to passengers following the replacement of guards with Onboard Supervisors. ORR had first engaged with GTR's Southern operation ahead of these changes in January 2017 to assess whether or not its processes remained compliant with its Disabled People's Protection Policy. Specifically, ORR says it wanted 'to understand the procedures in place in the exceptional circumstances where a second person was not on the train to assist.'
