Maynard still evasive on electrification

Asked by Labour MP for Nottingham South Lilian Greenwood 'what recent progress' had been made on DfT's plans to electrify the Midland Main Line and North Trans-Pennine route, Transport Minister Paul Maynard replied on April 27 that work was 'ongoing' to deliver the MML programme, 'which includes electrification as well as capacity and journey time improvement works'.
