More Greater Anglia EMUs refurbished

Greater Anglia has announced that it is to spend a further £4.7m on EMU refurbishment, which will see 72 Class 317 and 212 Class 321 cars receive new carpets and seat covers, following a deep clean and interior repainting. Work on the Class 317s is expected to be completed by the end of 2017. Due for completion in spring 2018, the Class 321 programme will see first class seating replaced with standard class on some of the 40 vehicles that are being cascaded from Govia Thameslink Railway (RB1526 p6).
