West Coast Partnership prospectus issued

Published by DfT on January 19, the 30-page prospectus for the West Coast Partnership provides further details on the proposed franchise combining Intercity West Coast with the development and introduction of High Speed 2 services (RBI 522 p1). Starting on April 1 2019, the new franchise will take over 1CWC while acting as shadow operator for HS2. From 2026 it will also run initial high-speed services for a period of three to five years, with an option to extend for two to three years.
