This really is what could be described as an 'ultimate' receiver, unless you're into the realms of spending several tens of thousands of pounds on a single receiver (the current list price is just under £8000). I was very, very impressed with the performance of the IC-R9500, as I'm sure any reader would be if they were able to have one of these fantastic units sitting in their listening post.
