摘要

The south africa Radio League (SARL) has come out in support of the RSGB's decision to liberalise access to the HF bands. At a council meeting on 3 October SARL's Council agreed on a new initiative to address the Morse Code requirement for the amateur service. The League says that the major factor presently impeding access to the HF bands is the 12WPM Morse Code requirement. The League will be pressing SATRA, the South African ra- dio regulator, to introduce a new interim class of unrestricted HF licence, based on a 5WPM qualification.
