I have often wondered why so little feedback comes to this column compared with the amount that goes to other articles. Now I know how to rectify this and get lots of e-mails; make a mistake. Something like this happened after the comments on the use of exponential in computer transmitters. The example given was carefully photographed to show clearly the effects of positive exponential, and of the complementary negative kind. The equipment used to set up the photographs was the familiar JR gear that I have used consistently for many years, since it was first introduced on the UK market. And the mistake? Everything in the article was correct, so long as it was applied to JR radios, but when it comes to either Hitec or Futaba, and maybe some other makes, trouble sets in. The e-mails came in goodly numbers, all making the same point and all doing so without any heat, many of them only seeking clarification.
