Last month I mentioned some new retract units sent for review. They are from an Indian company, previously unknown to me, UMS Technologies Ltd. The arrival of the equipment was unusual, in that a full set of parts arrived but with the instruction not to review them yet because an improved version of some components would follow soon. The review was put on hold until eventually the new pieces arrived. The new arrivals were replacements for the two main retract units, and the difference was most interesting. But first a digression: this company also produces a range of other modelling goods, including some attractive looking engines.
