My Avro Anson is now over a year old (see RCMW Sept '07) and, despite all its good features that I am pleased with, the two areas that have excited most comment are the aircrew (see RCMW Plans and Construction Special) and that the two Zenoah 38s are unusually quiet, in fact I have already been prevailed upon to supply drawings to fellow LMA members. At a recent IMAC training session, your Assistant Editor was flying a slightly raucous Zenoah 38 powered Extra which prompted the comment from Steve Holland; "What you need in that is an Anson Silencer." And they have been referred to as such ever since.
