The Farmhand is a concept that has been bandied around for a while. Not with that name or indeed the shape, but as an idea that a model could be designed, using CAD, specifically for laser cutting wood parts and ease of assembly. One of the criteria was that it could be built making use of existing undercarriages that most modellers seem to end up with at some point in their flying (crashing!) career.rnTop pilot Steve Holland suggested that a large petrol model was needed from Traplet, and a week later his design had mutated into a crop sprayer look-alike as Steve had thought about the idea and concluded that another sport scale model was not really different to anything else on the market.
